The one day conference Facing the Care Challenge was a great success. The event was aimed at all those responsible for quality care, whether at board or ward level, in the acute setting, the community or nurse education, and across all provider sectors. It was an opportunity to hear from nurses on the front line about what has worked for them, to discuss how nursing needs to change and to learn how patients see modern nursing. It was also an opportunity to learn about the elements of leadership that are required to inspire effective teams.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the Facing the Care Challenge conference held on 17 November 2010 at the Cavendish Conference Centre, London. Attendees said that they had a very informative and useful day.
